About Paradyskloof Watch

Paradyskloof Watch is a volunteer association of residents in Ward 21, Stellenbosch, working with SAPS, the Stellenbosch Community Police Forum, and contracted security providers to keep our suburb safe. Membership is free, open to all residents aged 18 and over, and based on the principles of non-racism, non-sexism, non-sectarianism and democracy — per clause 6.1 of our constitution.

Our area is enclosed by the R44, Blaauwklippen Road (both sides), and Paradyskloof Road (both sides), plus the surrounding farm borders.

Affiliations & accountability

Paradyskloof Watch is affiliated to the Community Police Sub Forum Sector 2 and through it to the Stellenbosch Community Police Forum. We are accountable to the South African Police Service and operate within the framework of the Western Cape Provincial Constitution and Code of Conduct for Neighbourhood Watch Structures.

We may partner with local private security companies registered with PSIRA, and we may receive donations or sponsorships from residents or businesses for equipment and administrative costs. Paradyskloof Watch is a non-profit, non-legal voluntary association — all members act in their own personal capacity.

How to get involved

Two main ways:

Register your household to become a formal member — required to receive your street group invitation links and to access members' documents.
Volunteer for a role. We're always looking for Street Reps and Patrollers. Email info@paradyskloof.com if you'd like to help.
